Just made an appointment to get fillers done- eek!!

Anyone done this, any tips? It's Voluma in my cheeks to plump me up a bit. Only 1ml to start with as I'm paranoid about looking OTT!

I could feel the fillers, yes. Like a little ridge under my skin. Almost a year on and I can't feel them at all. It's not weird feeling it though or painful in any way. It's just there!

No I can't/couldn't feel the fillers at all. If you mean by touching, rather than by being able to sense they are in your face- but that's a no as well!

It's really important to get someone who knows what they are doing. There are different products- Juvaderm, Restylane, Perlane , and each is slightly different.

The injections have to be deep- it really is an 'ouch' treatment ( and I had 2 babies totally naturally!) because if they don't inject deeply enough then the fillers can cause bumps under the skin.

Mine have lasted ages- certainly a year. It wasn't cheap - £650_ but I went to someone who's rated top dr in UK for fillers by the Tatler, and I really trust her.

HI there I am trying to find a recommendation for a Dr to see for tear trough fillers and botox in the lines above my nose and crow's feet. I called Dr Tracy Mountford's clinic and they said I'd have to wait till June to see her and a consultation costs about £120.oo minimum. They said I could see nurse Lucy Banks for a consultation and that Dr Mountford often passes work to her as she is not often around. The cost of fillers restylane in tear trough area they said costs £450.00 and lasts 6 to 12 months. Am not sure what to do!

I also saw Dr Renne Honderkamp who said she'd use emerval in this area. But this product is not as fully in use as juvederm and restylane and not passed by the EDA or something like that!

I also saw Dr Nabbet who said fillers here wouldn't work for me I'd need blepherplasty ! But then read another report which said that the product he uses is not so good for under eye area - cant; recall the name of it but it wasn't resytelane or juvederm.

Would really appreciate a recommendation by some one who's had tear trough filler in under eye area for eye bags which are fatty as opposed to hollow...there is a sunken line under the fatty, puffy eye bag and apparently filling this area might help!

Many thanks. D

I have had fillers with Dr Mountford 3 times including one tear troughs. I paid more than £450- something like £550-£600. My first consultation was £90, about 4 years ago.

I'd not have tear troughs again simply because I only got 6 months out of it and my other fillers on cheeks last 12-15 months.

Dr Mountford is very good and very popular. A 6-week wait is quite normal- people book well ahead, but you can ask for a cancellation if it comes up, which it will.

I'd recommend you see her for a consultation. She will be 100% honest. She told me I'd get 50% improvement and I did.

She will lift your cheek etc with her hand first to see if you / she can see any improvement. The fillers do not actually go in the tear trough. They go underneath so they are not too close to your eyes.

I found it painful. It was sore for a few days.

Her nurse Lucy does do work but TBH I'd rather stick with Dr M though for something like Botox ( which i don't have) I might trust her nurses.

I'd never ever go to anyone who used products that were not approved- far too risky.

If you were to see Dr M in London she is there (I think) 2 days a week. She is at her other clinic on other days.

Hi there could some one recommend a doctor who does fillers for eye trough area in London? I want to try this but am nervous about using a practitioner I don't know! D

Dancingbird50 · 10/04/2015 22:24

Many thanks for that recommendation of Dr Mountford. I think I'll book a consultation with her! I really want to do something about the bags under my eyes! D
