I blame the weather. Seriously, we seem to live in a country where winter gets longer and longer and the summer is a few weeks long, if we're lucky. I think it's understandable to feel like crap.
I'm 50 and am growing out a too, too short hair do. I had shortish hair, (on profile) but due to financial constraints, asked hairdresser to 'go a bit shorter' to get more time between trims out of it. She did. [Shock] Lesson learned. I too, feel washed out and need to lose over a stone, and that's a conservative estimate!
Thing is OP, you've made a start
. Small steps are necessary rather than, "God, it's all so awful.....where to start?" I'm cutting down on rubbish snacks and alcohol and trying to eat more healthily. I did the rounds of the cosmetic counters to try out some new, more flattering foundations and came back with quite a haul. Some I binned (awful) but I've got 2 generous "testers" of Clarins stuff, that'll see me through to spring before I plan to splash the cash, next month. I did buy a Clinique blush called Iced Lotus. It'll last forever, is highly pink and completely wakes up my face. I've a 3 of this shade. Others come and go but this one always works, in moderation, and a "I look shite" day. Am wearing it, on profile pics but am also holidaying and tanned so, might look a bit "Aunt Sally" for some people!
My running/walking had to stop for 6 weeks due to falling over (embarrassing) and badly spraining my ankle. It was a right mess....such a funny shape, i thought id broken it. Now, I have it well strapped up and plan to do some walking. Went yesterday and today and feel ok. Cannot run yet, but I'm moving again! Small steps, OP, small steps!
I am determined to make myself feel better than this.....or die trying!
Good luck! Keep us posted.
