Anyone tried stuff from Woolover? Any good?

Just that really. Has anyone tried the cashmere/merino blend jumpers and cardigans? Or the silk/cotton blends? What say you?

I have a couple of the cashmere/merino jumpers and am blown away by the quality compared to the price. Just beautiful stuff for the same price as polyester on the high st. Highly recommend.

I bought a couple of the cropped silk/cotton mix Cardigans and wasn't impressed. Took forever to arrive and they are very thin and crease easily. The only time these would be useful would be if arm coverage was your priority rather than warmth.

I kept the black and after one wash the colour has faded quite badly. Maybe the merino would be better? I'm not bothering again.

I bought a cashmere merino cardigan last month and it got major bobbles. Looks a bit tatty already but it's such a great weight, warm and comfortable.

Oooh thanks everyone. I had looked at the prices and assumed they couldn't possibly be all that nice. So cheap! But there's some great recommendations here so shall give them a go. They've got a good range of colours too eh?

To be fair I haven't washed mine yet so I can't comment on how they last - I did read elsewhere that they bobble but then someone linked to an amazing de bobbling machine from John Lewis.

A de-bobbling machine? Genius. I want one. Now.

Also, are you pleased with the quality Jump? Are they a decent weight? How's the fabric in your opinion?

I've washed my merino/cashmere cardigan once and it hasn't bobbled (machine wool wash at 30 degrees). It's soft but not super-soft; I would actually prefer 100% merino I think. I also bought a cotton/silk one and this wil be for summer. Feels very soft and smooth, but obviously not had a chance to wear or wash it yet...

I've just bought 2 jumpers for DH, not as good quality as Boden, but half the price...

I ordered some silk/cotton cardies last year to wear with a wedding outfit, and to be honest, I wanted to like them more than I did. They were very thin, and the buttonholes were skimpy; it was hard to get the buttons through, and they didn't seem to be sewn on very firmly. And you have to pay postage to return them, which is fair enough - it's a way of keeping the prices low. On balance, I'd rather pay a little bit more and have the finishing touches a bit nicer.

But other styles might be better!

Fuckit - I like the lightness and softness of the cashmere/merino mix, it is really thin but cosy. I should reserve judgement til they're washed though as I have plenty of jumpers which have fallen apart after washing. Which reminds me, I need to get some gentle detergent to use on them - I do 'handwash' cycles on machine for all my delicates but usually just bung in some non-bio. Any recommendations?

Sorry to hijack, but are they true to size or should I size up or down?

They are true tp size. I bought a couple of ther merino / wool jumpers and they are warm, good shape, goood weight, but one in particular has bobbled badly.

They are lovely, really good company with old fashioned service, ie you can ring them, and speak to a naice person who will help you.

Was feeling like I needed to be sensible and buy a warm jumper, with all the chilly weather. Love my lambswool jumper. It's so warm and cosy.

Washed it on woollens wash, with wool detergent. It's so lovely. Investing in more from them. I really want their artists smock top. Looks fab, but sadly probably won't suit my massive norks.

Can't think of any specific brand names Jump but there are definitely detergents specifically made for handwashing woollens that you can stick in the machine on the handwash cycle. Shall invest in some myself actually. Going to definitely buy a couple of the cashmere/merino mix cardigans I think. Sounds as though they are decent quality considering the price.

Sizzles I have the asymmetric hem jumper, which is quite similar to the artist's smock one and possibly more flattering for norkage?

They used to be good but now I find their new stuff itchy and short.

Woolite is one of the anti bobbling washing machine liquids.
I also bought a cashmere comb [for bobbles] for £7 and free delivery from Ebay.

jump I tried the asymmetric jumper, fab for norks, but had to send it back, pointy out asymmetric hem made my hips look odd. need to lose weight hard to please.

Quick update: my woolvers cashmere/merino cardis arrived today - I ordered them on Tuesday night so very pleased with the timely service.

Obvs I haven't washed them yet but on first impressions I'm extremely pleased with the quality, especially considering the price. They are soft, warm, and look well made.

Considering I'd be paying the same sort of price for high street viscose I'd say Woolovers is a real online gem. Will definitely buy from them again.
