Cold weather and nights out

Hello.

I've got a big night out planned on Friday, which will involve a train journey to get there and a little walking from the station. The weather is going to be awful and now I have non idea what to wear.

I still want to look nice, but don't want to freeze to death! (I must be getting old )

Please help me come up with something nice/ practical.

I'm 26 tallish and slim. We are going to a restaurant in London which turns into a club afterwards.

Just wear a big warm coat and check it in as soon as you get through the door. No one is going to care what you look like on the way there.

I had this problem last Friday. In the end i just brazened it out and wore a massive coat and scarf like worldgonecrazy said. I won't lie, my feet were freezing but I soon warmed up with a few wines

How about a fake fur coat? Glam yet cosy.

I don't have a fur coat

I'm going to wear a big coat and take a really big bag so I can take my comfy shoes with me.
