Coconut Oil to help prevent stretchmarks?

in my last 2 pgs i used bio oil, got through tons of the stuff and was lucky enough to not get many stretchmarks, although did get the dreaded crepey skin. was only in my 20's though so that prob helped

however in the last year or so i have been using pure coconut oil as a moisturiser, and am wondering whether to just carry on using that, or use bio oil as well

am only a few weeks pg so no bump as yet but as i am 33 and this is my 3rd pg am worried about toll it is gonna take on my knackered old body and will try anything as damage limitation :o

has anyone else used it in pg? and did it help?

No products penetrate deep enough to prevent stretch marks unfortunately - sounds like you are one of the lucky ones who doesn't get them!

i do think if you moisturise loads it can help a bit though

esp with how dry and tight bumps tend to get if you don't

yes i have been lucky so far but very much doubt i will get away so unscathed this time ..... lol

I reckon if you've got away with it twice, you have the type of skin that is not prone to stretch marks. I have three children and not a stretch mark Grin

I do think some products can help. The women in my family all have a lot of stretchmarks!!!
I used Mama Mio tummy oil and I didn't get one stretchmark! However I only used it on my tummy and I got loads on my boobs and thighs so it must have done something!
It's £23 a bottle but lasted the whole pregnancy for me
