In a potentially futile attempt to look more grown-up and sophisticated I've been growing out my fringe for a few months.

It won't behave and it doing my head in. I also feel I look really mumsy and less like "me".

Previously I've always had a full fringe. Like a fatter (and less-talented Zooey Deschanel). Have been cutting it for years so not fazed by that. Hate hairdressers.

Scissors are being brandished. What say ye MN? Cut or no cut?

I think you look younger fringed.

faustina · 20/03/2013 11:41

couldn't you have a fringe that's slightly more amenable to not being a full fringe when you don't want it to be? (not sure if this makes any sense at all) I mean a bit longer and perhaps a bit choppier - so you could push it to the sides to break it up a bit when you want to?

Eskino · 20/03/2013 11:44

That's a great fringe in pic 1.

glitch · 20/03/2013 11:51

Cut it, you look great with a fringe.

MonaLotte · 20/03/2013 12:10

I prefer the fringe too.

littlepeas · 20/03/2013 12:31

I like your fringe!

Fringe.

I do this all the time. Fringe...no fringe...fringe...no fringe...

I've just had one cut in again and I think it'll stay this time. I think most people look better with a fringe.

You've got gorgeous hair btw.

BuddyButters · 20/03/2013 12:36

Ooh isn't fringe a funny word?!

DukeSilver · 20/03/2013 12:36

I like the fringe.

Also, your daughter is very cute and oh my god your legs!

HerbyVore · 20/03/2013 12:37

The longer fringe does look more mumsy sensible, - so I would say CUT IT - I love the chunky fringe look and it really suits you.

By the way if you're going for a more grown up look, I would cut down on the black eye liner and rouge - in pic 4 I think you've over-done it a bit.

thefarmerhasawife · 20/03/2013 12:37

Cut it! I've just grown my fringe out and looking at how lovely yours looks I'm wondering if I should have it cut back in!

BunnyLebowski · 20/03/2013 12:38

Well I didn't need much encouragement - have cut it Grin

is the video I used. It's fantastic. Fool-proof fringing!

I immediately feel more like myself. Fivehead covered up and crows feet less obvious.

Thanks for the encouragement Smile

I like your fringe in the first photo best - eye grazing like Claudia Winkleman.
Are you on the left hand side on the second photo - I think it looks better a bit longer. You look like Katy Perry in the third - not mumsy at all!!

NotMostPeople · 20/03/2013 12:39

Fringe, a fuller fringe is on trend - am tempted to cut mine now.

ceeveebee · 20/03/2013 12:40

Ha I read Herby's comment and thought it was a bit bitchy, then I saw the photo Grin

cowmop · 20/03/2013 12:42

I'd love a fringe, but have madly curly hair so would look like a bog brush. I think you really suit your fringe, I'm verr jealous!

HerbyVore, I read your comment before looking at the pics and thought "bit rude", but then had a snort when I saw the pics! Grin

BunnyLebowski · 20/03/2013 12:43

Oooh Herby - I thought you were being a right cah then Grin

That's DP after I Darth Mauled him up for a fancy dress do Grin

Glad you've gone with the fringe! Looks great.

HerbyVore · 20/03/2013 12:46
Grin

You have lovely eyebrows by the way, - I'm being serious now, what do you do with them, pluck/thread/wax?

BunnyLebowski · 20/03/2013 12:48

Eyebrows? Ta! Pluck them meself and fill in with cheapy Rimmel brown pencil thing.

Owllady · 20/03/2013 12:53

Mrsrobertduvall · 20/03/2013 12:53
