Nice(ish) shoes for work?

I'm looking for a pair of shoes for work that will look half decent but will be comfortable after being on my feet all day... any ideas? I'n not that bothered about how they look but don't want old lady shoes. They have to be black and to wear with trousers.

Been looking for weeks now and I need some help! What do other people who work on their feet all day wear on their feet?

I find new look shoes the best in terms of cost / comfort / style.

I had a look in there yesterday but it was all either really high heels (an absolute no as I can be standing for 9 hours a day) or really flat pumps which I find are almost as bad as heel! Good prices there though....

Wedges are your friend!

Can't link to mine as they're Clarks from about three years ago and still going strong, and the most comfortable shoes ever!

The stores usually aren't great but the website is much better. Are these any good?

I'm not a heel wearer (too many sports injuries) but I find these surprisingly wearable and comfortable.

sweetheart and slug both of them look really nice and I wish I could wear them but I know I just couldn't wear them for any length of time. A wedge might be the way forward... I did see some low wedge type shoes in next that might work.

Or I may just have to get a grip and accept that my feet wont stand for anything other than flat, cushioned sole granny shoes!

I don't do heels either but have had luck with Hush Puppies or Clarks in the past. just bought these balck shoes for work. they've got an ace super cushioned insole and a hidden platform so not as high as they look. I was amazed I could not only walk in them but they are comfy, wore them all day today
