I have ordered from them a couple of times in the past - its all been pretty straight forward as long as i use the internet and dont actually speak to a person.
I recieved what seemed like hundreds of leaflets in with my last order - plus two different catalogues. Being fully aware that most of their money off/gift promotions come with caveats ( minimum spend etc) i never the less took much fancy to a weekend bag set promotion. Spent £20 - get the bag set
Im going away soon and this seemed great. I couldnt find the code that went with the leaflet.googled it - nothing on other voucher sites about it - which i thought strange.
so i went on their site - nothing
went to contact details - and sent an e-mail...becuase heir phone calls cost money and you are invariably on a long time.
they then e-mailed me back 24 hours later to tell me to phone them
i said i was not able to
they said sorry, but they couldn't give a promo code via e-mail
At first i thought this was sensible - i could forward it to the world and his wife....then i thought - holdon, i could do that after the phone call anyway - so what the bollocks?
so i relented and phoned.
i got through to a call centre and spoke to someone with a very heavy accent who was difficult to understand - i am at this point much irritated - mostly at myself for saying "pardon".." erm...Sorry what was that" fifty times. eventually she said she "did not hold that information" ( about what the promo code was)
"may i speak with someone who does" says I through much gritting of teeth.
customer service person spoke clear as day, i asked for the code and what restrictions/caveats there were - got the info 1 min later i had a code.

phone back again to call centre
repeat self 3 times
they say the code is not valid on the item i want to order.
hang up -pick something else-ring back
repeat self 3 times
THEY can't get the code to work and tell me it has to be done 'manually'
not sure what this means exactly but someone is ringing me back
MONDAY or TUESDAY next week.
what- the- actual- fuck.
I did take their customer survey and told them so.
