Face contouring - do you do it?

I've just bought some new make up to try today and decided to follow a tutorial online on how to apply make up. Now I've been wearing make up for years but this tutorial mentioned face contouring which I've never tried before. So I tried it using some old bronzer I had as the darker shade. Surprisingly it looks pretty ok, so I may buy some darker foundation/ powder to do the darker bits as think the bronzer will be too shimmery.

Do you do this? Has anyone noticed the lines on your face or do you think it always works out well. What do you use as the darker contouring shade?

Like the Kim kardashian tutorial? I'm a bit scared to do it. Might if I've got a day in and nothing to do!

I did see the kim karshardian tutorial when I was looking for more info, but it was the Glamour one I followed which was quite straighforward.

It did look fairly good for me, I never ever look 'polished' no matter how hard I try, but it was a step in that direction, so may try it again to go out with (only tried it in the house).

I have been doing it for about two months. I think it looks good, mostly because I have a fat face full cheeks. When I catch my reflection in passing it really just looks like my face is slimmer. People have even asked if I've lost weight!

I just use the MUA face powder in a darker shade than normal (can't go wrong for £1!) but I do have a special contouring brush which I think helps.

Practice makes perfect! I'm better at it than I was when I first started!

I tend to do it more when I go out in the evening rather than in harsh daylight. I use this Sleek Contour kit. I do sometimes use the highlighter on top of my cheekbones in the daytime if I need a bit more oomph Wink

Oh, well if I look more 'groomed' I'm def giving it a go.

I do it every day because I have a fat face Grin

I use powder, the Sleek palette, and foundation, Sleek BB cream in medium under my chin.

I also have a Natural Collections bronzer which is good for contouring as it's not shimmery.

Thanks, glad to know it works - that sleek palette looks good and is a good price. I may try a darker shade of the make up I bought today to contour and if it doesn't work I'll try the palette.

Oh, I'll have a look at the natural collection bronzer too, I quite like that range.

Yes, I've got a fat face too - no matter what my weight.
