Tights or no tights?

I am going out tonight for a meal and drinks after I have bought today a long sleeved burgundy midi dress (close fitting ) I am wearing with black closed toe platform court shoes. Would black tights spoil it? Lots of girls I see on nights out wear this dresses with bare legs, I have quite generous calves that look ok with fake tan on! I am late twenties if that makes any difference!

Yes I was thinking that its just I'm out for a friends 21st they will be dressed like young beautiful things so didn't want to look dowdy!

Ooh I don't own tan tights i think I always think of my horror teen days of sparkly American tan ice skater legs! Are they still acceptable?

Yes tan tights, get to Tesco quick.
You can get some nice matt ones, a couple of shades darker than you are.

buy a few in case you rip them, when putting them on

Nooooo - don't wear tan tights, especially ones darker than your legs. They will be awful.

My beautiful young daughters both wear black opaques AND it's cold and wet today, isn't it? Bare legs will be silly and even properly flesh toned tights (ie not tan) are likely to get dirty.

Black opaques, IMO.

PS Definitely not tan tights from the chemist. Only acceptable 'nude' ones IMHO are M and S Autograph ones in 5 or 7 denier and very 'natural' not obviously tan shade.
