Do you wear pullovers with nothing underneath?

I just learnt that apparently some people do not wear layers underneath pullovers/sweaters. What the...! Isn't the point of this garment that you wear it over your top if it's too cold with only the top. And then if it gets too warm you can take off the first layer! But you can't do that if you only wear one layer. You'll get super sweaty in the sweater and then you have to launder it after each wear.

If you do this, explain yourself or something Grin

Never. Always wear a top, either long or short sleeved underneath a sweater and vest top under a cardy

Why does it matter that you have to wash after each wear? If I wore a tahirt under I’d have to wash that each time. Not all my jumpers are wool and difficult to wash, I just treat most like a top and wear and wash them

SwedishEdith · 29/04/2018 21:31

All my jumpers are wool or heavy cotton.

Fatted · 29/04/2018 22:06

I never wear anything under my jumpers other than a bra! It's got to be really cold for me to wear a vest under one. I don't wear horrible itchy woolly ones though, a nice light fitted cotton or polyester jumper is fine.

LanguidLobster · 29/04/2018 22:17

Whut?

No I'd never wear anything under a jumper unless it was freezing and then there would be things under, over and allsorts.

Honestly Pretz

neveradullmoment99 · 29/04/2018 22:20

I wear a longline vest under it. Not a thermal but just a jersey one unless its cold. Sometimes I wear a longline vest, a tee and a jumper if I am cold or a long sleeved tee.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/04/2018 22:22

The no socks thing in shoes really gets to me though.
Smelly shoes and insoles that stick to your feet. Maybe there is a special non-irritating shoe sock I don't know about that doesn't roll under????

peonylover22 · 29/04/2018 22:27

I only wear a layer under my jumper if it’s really cold. My jumpers are cashmere and merino and nice and soft. They don’t smell. I’m in my mid 30s. I think they hang better without a layer underneath.

pigpoglet · 30/04/2018 08:52

I don't wear anything under mine , why do you care ? 🤔🤔

Sciurus83 · 30/04/2018 09:52

Light cashmere yes, anything heavier no. Also you wear low profile socks with trainers which is why you can't see them

FishFingerInjury · 30/04/2018 10:28

My husband has done this before. I cannot get my head around it at all Confused

goose1964 · 30/04/2018 11:00

I don't wear anything except bra, and I'm in the age group mentioned above. I haven't bought a jumper for years as they're too scratchy. Now I know why.

CaffeineAndCrochet · 30/04/2018 12:10

I wear a vest top underneath to smooth me out as my jumpers would cling to every lump and bump otherwise.

QuinionsRainbow · 30/04/2018 15:07

I am not sure yet what the general rule is for teens and twenties
Well, our DCs, who fit in this age bracket, have always been in the "nothing underneath, except a bra if needed" camp.

And has nobody noticed that this is a Zombie thread?

LanguidLobster · 30/04/2018 15:18

Oh god I didn't notice it was 2013!

I've been wearing my cashmere cardigan to bed.

Annebronte · 30/04/2018 18:51

Close fitting sweaters, skinny rib polos etc would surely look silly with more than a bra underneath?
