REALLY warm pair of boots. I really find the cold and I have been looking for one for ages and can't find one that is not too narrow (wide feet here) and that also looks nice (don't like the traditional UGG ones). Please help me to have a warm feet :)

Caterpillar women's boots are fantastic - very warm, wide fitting, excellent quality IMO.

bluetortoise · 12/03/2013 22:01

Thank you very much for your link Liberty, they do look nice but I forgot to say that I was looking for a mid calf one (I knew I was forgetting something, doh)

What about the Cat Anna?

cerealqueen · 12/03/2013 22:16

Dr Martens? The air sole keeps my feet very arm and I get VERY cold feet, some nice mid calf styles too

and other colours

Mrsap · 12/03/2013 22:34

I have these leather uggs in dark brown and they are so warm and comfy. I too have wide feet. m.schuh.co.uk/product.aspx?icode=1579236220

bluetortoise · 12/03/2013 22:38

Thank you for all your help, I quite like the style of the Cat Anna, but what was putting me off was the fact that it doesn't seem to have a way to fasten it :(
And does your feet gets toasty BabyBarrister? (the way I would like mine to get :) (wonders what people wear in Siberia Hmm

Always swear by Uniqlo's Heat Tech. I have about 7 that I layer under everything!

oxcat1 · 13/03/2013 00:35

Oops. Sorry! Wrong thread!

snoworneahva · 13/03/2013 07:28

Would invest in a pair of snow boots by a brand like Sorel or North face. Fashion boots will never keep your feet warm enough, I relented last year and bought some....on a cold day fashion & style are not my top priority -

These are super warm and comfy

bluetortoise · 13/03/2013 09:19

I am looking for a black one and I quite like the look of this one:
www.sorelfootwear.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-Sorel_UK-Site/en_GB/Product-Show?pid=LL1804

Does any one know what "Sorel rated: -25° fahrenheit / -32° Celsius" actually mean?

OP posts:
snoworneahva · 13/03/2013 09:28

My feet still get cold in my Sorel boots if I've been standing around watching the kids sledging but they warm up again quickly when we start walking - my circulation is the pits. Sad

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 13/03/2013 10:00

I bought a pair of nice thick over knee socks in primark for about 1.50 wore them under my boots and had to take them off I got so warm. try some thermal socks or just a cheap toasty pair.

bluetortoise · 13/03/2013 10:40

That's such a shame Snow. I was hoping they would be the ULTIMATE boots for seriously cold feet :( there must be ones out there that do the job??? oh I need to pay a visit to primark then to find those socks Step, what do they look like?

OP posts:
AWimbaWay · 13/03/2013 13:44

merrell oslo I've traipsed through snow in them and my feet have stayed super snuggly, really comfy too.

bishboschone · 13/03/2013 20:48

My ugg noira are fab and supposedly keep your feet warm down to -13 or something . They do black too.

cardamomginger · 13/03/2013 20:51

La Canadienne are fantastic. VERY warm and keep water out.

www.lacanadienneshoes.com

They are a North American company, so possibly not that helpful a suggestion. But they do ship to UK.

twolittlemonkeys · 13/03/2013 20:53

I have a pair of the ones Cerealqueen linked to (in teal) They are fab. I also have another pair of DMs which are a similar shape but knee high and have laces up the outside calf. Love them. And I can wear my toasty thermal socks under them to stay cosy.

bluetortoise · 13/03/2013 21:26

Thank you everyone for making the suggestions. I really appreciate your help. I will need to have a better look at them all. I love the La Canadienne Cardamomginter, specially this one:
www.lacanadienneshoes.com/boots/alexis-black-leather-shearling.html
It's the kind of style I like, but I am not sure if it would be wide enough for me... I would need to pay shipping and would be gutted if they were too narrow to my feet :(
Where did you get your UGG noira Bishboschone?

OP posts:
bishboschone · 13/03/2013 22:07
