Matt and Nat bags

anyone got a Matt and Nat bag? I was looking for a bag, these look lovely online but I'd feel happier if I'd seen on in real life. I'm curious whether they look/feel quite plastic-y or not? and how well-made they are.

I haven't seen the bags in real life, but my friend has a Matt and Nat wallet and it's lovely, not at all plastic-y

I've had two Matt and Nat bags. I had a bright green weekend bag which I loved and used loads, eventually one of the straps gave way and that was the end of it. I've also got a silver hand bag. The only issue with them was that with wear and tear you to see that they they are not leather but made from plastic. My silver bag's straps are very worn and you can see the purple plastic under the silver. But they are lovely bags, and great for occassional use.

ooh thank you for that Soupmaker. Hm, I'm hoping to use it as a work bag, maybe that might be too much use and I should keep looking?

well I've taken the plunge and ordered one, will report back what I think of it in real life

I've had three, present one a sort of quilted messenger type bag. The fittings are always really good quality, unlike most synthetic bags and they always look expensive - though not always especially like leather. After a couple of years of regular use the handles seem to crack, seems to be common in synthetic bags.

oh thanks Higgle, I think that sounds acceptable to me so just hope I like it as much when it arrives excited to be getting a new work bag face
