Do the buckles prevent the dreaded mum boot look? Or do they just look a bit silly? Help please!

I don't like them. And they look uncomfy. I have a pair of similarly-shaped boots, and the fact that they have a heel but are so flat on the sole means they really really kill to wear.

I like them .. I love tan boots though !
