All of the other ones are closed now and I still need some help!

Ha ha Emuz, quite impressive cross posting there!

Winterdays you will probably find the smaller back (and bigger cup) makes a huge difference as it just won't move! You will probably still get a mark from where your bra has been which is totally normal. The difference (for me anyway) is that I get one, neat, defined set of marks (so I get a line where the bottom of my bra has been and normally a pair of U's for my wires) but they aren't like a friction rubbing mark - more just a single pressure line like you would get from the elastic on socks or knickers.

winterdays · 30/03/2013 12:47

Should I order on line or is there a shop in london that have a really wide range to just keep trying. If I order the soft Freya what three sizes should I select. I'm really hoping I can just one comfortable bra so I can update my wardrobe

EMUZ · 30/03/2013 12:51

I think there's a bravissimo - it has a list of their shops on website. They would probably be best as large range of brands to try
I am wide set - if you view me side on I don't look busty but Freya don't suit me

EMUZ · 30/03/2013 12:52

They have 3 - Oxford circus, Covent garden and Ealing

winterdays · 30/03/2013 12:57

What do you find comfortable for wide breasts sorry for all the questions but I'm determine to solve this problem

EMUZ · 30/03/2013 13:03

It's ok Smile
I like bravissimo own brand bras and Panache ones. Debenhams gorgeous range too

winterdays · 30/03/2013 13:09

Thank you I will try those ones

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/03/2013 13:22

When you say your breasts are wide - do you mean wide set (as in a relatively large gap between them) or wide base (i.e. they go quite far round under your armpit!)

I have close set but wide based (so they don't have that much "projection" for the size of them) and get in with Bravissimo own brand and some Freya bras. Hate Panache on me but I also have a short torso and high set breasts and their wires tend to stab me in the armpit! IME their cups are deeper where I find Freya ones shallower. Bravissimo brand has a really good mix and the staff tend to know them very well. I recently bought the Betsy Bow which I love. The Satine is also a very nice bra and I like the Alana day to day although it has quite a stiff fabric. The others are softer.

winterdays · 30/03/2013 13:26

No they don't go under my armpit but there is 2 1/2 inches between them - tape measure arrived this morning so I could go on here. I'm also long in the body and tall

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/03/2013 13:34

IN that case you may want to read this blog which discusses issues with long torsos. You might actually find Panache (also trades as Cleo and Masquerade) and Curvy Kate quite good for you - they are generally a bit higher under the armpit. The Curvy Kate showgirl range (the Tease me and thrill me in particular) are lovely soft bras and I have also heard excellent things about the Curvy Kate smoothie.

winterdays · 30/03/2013 13:40

Thank you will read it now - will go shopping mon armed with all your good advice

HellesBelles396 · 30/03/2013 15:08

just got a 34ff from bravissimo. good fit on band but enormous side-noonan - I guess I need a g?

marriednotdead · 31/03/2013 08:04

tatyr
The Royce bras that go up to L/M are sized under their old system that used to skip all the double letters after E. That would therefore make your L really a HH Hmm I'd suggest trying their newer, correctly sized styles (Sadie and Charlotte) in a K which would give you 3 extra cup sizes of room.

Elomi do a wired nursing in a 34JJ that would also be worth a try- they are from the same group that make Freya/Fantasie so their bras are usually a generous cut.

I've previously searched extensively for the kits to convert regular bras into nursing. The problem was that the findings were too narrow for the wider straps that are invariably on a decent cup sized bra.

mankyscotslass · 03/04/2013 16:12

I've been and bought new scaffolding. Grin

I went to Bravissimo, and I now have 3 new bras, and I intend to order more when I get paid.

I got 1 Fantasie Rebecca, in a 30ff, and 2 different colours of the Panache Cleo in a 28G.

I liked the Freya styles but I would have needs a 26 back in them, so I struggled to find anything.

I have discovered i need the middle of the bra to come quite high up between my boobs to get a good fit/shape, and that my boobs don't start as far round under my arms as I thought.

mankyscotslass · 03/04/2013 19:23

They are Cleo Cara Balconette style

Hanginggardenofboobylon · 04/04/2013 11:31

Woohoo! Freya Taylor works! It's a really lovely moulded plunge and its cheap in Figleaves at the moment.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/04/2013 11:58

Taylor is based on the deco-if that works life becomes easier. I think bravissimo have another variant too called Ashley

mankyscotslass · 04/04/2013 12:27

Statistically what other makes would you suggest, taking into consideration what I bought yesterday? I have the bra buying bug now!

And Sarah at Bravissimo in Manchester was absolutely brilliant - very helpful. I was trying on for an hour. Blush

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/04/2013 13:15

mankyscotslass there are a lot of cleo bras around-which one did you get? There will probably be variants of that around. fantasie is actually the same company as Freya so it is odd that the backs were so different but it may be those specific bras. fauve is a more luxurious sister brand too but leia and brastop have some bargains on them quite often

mankyscotslass · 04/04/2013 13:30

It was the Cleo Cara I got, I got it in Aqua spots, and in black!

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/04/2013 18:17

OK, by the look of it the cleo Cara is based on the Cleo Juna which is available in black, white, nude and bright pink I think.

There are numerous patterned versions of it around too - I think that any Cleo bra you find which has that two-part cup shape will be the same. You may also get on with other Cleos - I have a feeling Sorrel (a fellow Juna-lover) also liked the Zia.

Given that she loves that too you might also like the Fauve half cup/balconette bras - some bargains here and here

SorrelForbes · 04/04/2013 18:29

Hello. Tis me, back from my holiday! Pah, no nice Fauves in a 30GG on those links SC!

I have the Cleo Meg which has a fuller cup than the Juna but is very flattering and comfortable.

I'm currently looking on-line for some new bras for a young relative (mentioned on another thread) who was fitted at a 32E last year in Debenhams. She has lost a bit of weight recently but her boobs have definietly got bigger. I've measured her as 28/37.5 so going to try her in a 28GG. Frustratingly, her DM, has said that she can't possibly be smaller than a 36 and has bought her some 36Es! Poor kid. I think I might get her to try my Juna in a 30G and takeit from there.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/04/2013 18:42

Poor kid indeed. It's so tough when you have other family members fighting your good work!

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/04/2013 18:43

Unfortunately Sorrel a LOT of Fauve's stop at a G and those that don't tend to be the plunge shape you don't get on with :(

mankyscotslass · 04/04/2013 19:02

Thanks Statistically, I will have a look at them :).

I can see me spending a fortune. Blush
