I have a gosh lip stain and I really like it, it tastes nice and is easy to apply, but it doesn't last very well.

Which ones would you recommend?

The best one I've tried is the Hourglass one. It lasts really well, even with lipbalm on top of it. But it's very expensive at £19 and there are only 3 colours.

I use the maybelline 24hour lipstick, comes in a tube with a sponge applicator, with a gloss to go over, it really does stay on all day i never have to reapply

EMUZ · 09/03/2013 11:52

Not so much a stain but Lush (emotional brilliance) lip stuff does not budge Grin
I wake up with pink lips the day after!

SayMama · 09/03/2013 16:09

Don't buy the cheapo 17 one, it dries out before you're even finished applying Angry

Don't buy Benetint. It's brilliant for cheeks but awful on lips.

Philosophy do quite a nice one (but maybe only in their Christmas sets?), as do The Body Shop. And I think I saw a Soap and Glory one but might have invented that.

Twogoodreasons · 09/03/2013 16:22

I use Max Factor Lipinfinity. It's ok, but can get a bit dry and peely.

Watches with interest!

the topshop berry stain is as good as pricy ones. Nice authentic rosy colour too

buttercrumble · 09/03/2013 16:39

Soap & glory cheek and lipstain from boots, its £8 and will last forever. The colour is beautiful and really natural.

AmazingDisgrace · 09/03/2013 18:27

I got given a YSL one, it is truly lovely and lasted all day

hugoagogo · 09/03/2013 20:53

Right, I am making notes.

I have seen the soap and glory one, but it looks very red and I prefer a pinky colour.

Keep them coming please.

Posytint? Not tried it but dd1 says it works better than Benetint on lips.

iamabadger · 09/03/2013 21:21

Mac prolong wear is good, I have a nice pinky colour called unchanging but they have a few in the range. About £15.

Iatemyskinnyperson · 09/03/2013 21:54

I got the new l'oreal one today, was quite nice & comfortable on the lips. Apparently the trick is to apply thin layers & allow to dry before adding another layer

nothruroad · 09/03/2013 21:55

I like Posytint, it goves a lovely natural colour but it does dry my lips out a bit so I always use it with the pink vaseline.

CrisisOfFaith · 09/03/2013 22:00

YSL glossy stains are the business. They last through food, wine, kissing, sweat...!

CharlieBoo · 09/03/2013 22:01

I have the maybeline one too and I'm impressed...
