Next Friday have an event with the company DH just started working for at the local greyhound racing track. Approx 70 employees plus partners. I know NOONE.

I'm 34, 5 foot 3, size 14/16 hourglass but 19 weeks pregnant so hourglass with a bump.

I'm thinking a gray & black leopard print skater style dress. To cover arms a black shrug type cardigan. Black tights. Gold and pink velvet handbag. Gold glitter flats. Pink belt (don't have, would need to find). A statement type necklace (would also need to find)

Not sure if the shoes are too much but lost my black heels when I moved house.

Don't have links cause most is either Penny's or a few years old!

Tbh it all sounds a bit much for the dog track. I like a night at the dogs but is a jeans and nice top type evening for me, not a 'lets glam up'.

Def over the top for the dogs, even if pink and gold/leopard print were my style.

I'm just worried because it is such a big company event. It's in a private room not just in the stands. Where I live lots of events (Christmas parties etc) are held at the dogs and people dress as if for the event and the fact it's at the dogs isn't really a factor deciding what to wear.

Drop the belt and the necklace, wear plain shoes and I think it will be suitable. It just sounds a bit much.

How about a blazer style top over the dress?
