MAC make up trade in?

Not sure if I'm making this up in my own mind (entirely possible!) but I'm sure I read somewhere once that MAC do a thing whereby you take in old/empty MAC makeup packaging and get discount off a new purchase? Or maybe points or something?

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm off shopping tomorrow and have a few empty bits to trade in. I've looked on the website but can't see anything about it though...

Am sure back to mac is what it's called and think its 6 empty pots/containers for a free lipstick. While since I've done it though.

Ahh thanks Neena, I thought I'd not imagined it! I've only got two or three empty containers though, boo. I'll have a look though and find out for next time :)

I recall it being three finished MAC products for free lipstick.

I thought they'd stopped this?

I just did this today. Its 6 items for one lipstick. You can take back anything, I gave today used and empty blusher and pressed powder containers, really old lipsticks, a mixture of 12 items and got 2 lovely new lipsticks.

Yes I did this last week - 6 empties and got a fab new lipstick !

I did this recently too. 6 empties = one lovely new lipstick.
