Fill a large bowl with warm water and add 1 cup apple cider vinegar with 1 cup Epsom salt. Soak your feet for 10-15 minutes, rinse and lightly scrub with pumice stone. Then say hello to gorgeous feet :)

InNeedOfBrandy · 07/03/2013 20:11

Would any cider work? Or cider vinegar and normal salt? Don't feel like a trek to the shops tonight.

How long have you been doing the vaseline treatment? I use body lotion before bed and before I put on socks in the morning. It takes a couple of weeks but shows some improvement.

nextphase · 07/03/2013 20:21

Have you got lemons and salt?
Cut lemon on half, squeeze out juice, fill shell with salt, and use to scrub heals according to a friend. Never tried it on my sandpaper feet tho.

olivertheoctopus · 07/03/2013 20:22

CCS Foot Cream. Boots sell it. It is amazeballs.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/03/2013 20:23

Flexitol.

I have tried quite a lot of foot creams, I find l'occitane very good, but expensive, but just as good is superdrug own brand. I can't remember exactly what it's called but something along the lines of hard skin softener about £3 a tube.

UnrequitedSkink · 07/03/2013 22:09

The footbuffer is amazing, I've had to buy DH his own as he kept nicking mine. And he's not a man who impresses easily Grin

AphraBehn · 07/03/2013 22:19

Compeed cream for cracked heels or Flexitol.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/03/2013 22:30

Footfile on dry skin.
Then soak in warm water for 10 minutes.
Then towel dry (so that your skin is still slightly damp)
Rub a good thick layer of Flexitol Heel Balm and apply clingfilm (to keep it in place) and warm socks (the heat will help it absorb)

Flexitol has Urea which helps the skin absorn moisture but it works better when the skin is damp.

(It's about £8 a tube, it was available on prescription at one time but now with cutbacks ...Sad )

ujjayi · 07/03/2013 22:58

Scrub feet in shower with one of those plasticky sponge things from Boots and then slather on coconut oil (huge tub of organic coconut oil costs a tenner from Amazon).

BrandyAlexander · 07/03/2013 23:53

L'occitane Shea butter foot cream. Absolutely magic and works like a dream. I normally start slathering it on this time if the year and soles of my feet look lovely and feel soft by the time it's sandal weatherSmile

InNeedOfBrandy · 08/03/2013 09:05

Right flexitol is on my shopping list and thank for the cling film tip I forgot about that. Will get the super drug own brand when I next go past and already have coconut oil so will give that a go tonight thank you.

No one has mentionned the Soap and Glory footfile yet. It's been something of a phenomenomenon on here and I can voucher for the fact that it's wonderful. That + any old cream = soft feet.

UnrequitedSkink · 08/03/2013 11:29

Yes they have, me AND shopafrolic did!

Charliefox · 08/03/2013 13:26

Oh yeah, so you did!

MrsMills · 08/03/2013 13:32

. I Have just gone from clawed reptilelike hooves (my winter look)to perfectly soft and pink feet with just 2 things. FLEXITOL ( cannot recommend enough) and www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/scholl-dual-action-foot-file-11571 this.

Chicinwellies · 08/03/2013 17:29

The Soap and Glory Bugger is literally the best thing Ive ever tried and Ive tried a LOT, much better than ped egg, etc etc. Also treated myself a month ago to a Cowshed pedicure at their Spa and my feet are still fab. Its crazy, but it makes me a lot happier! Also combine with CCS foot cream and you're ready to treat yourself to some Essie polish and flip flops :o) x

Chicinwellies · 08/03/2013 17:29

!! Eek sorry I meant Buffer!

shopafrolic · 09/03/2013 13:58

Best typo ever ! Grin
