I wanted to get a grey faux leather double buckle jacket and tried the Debenhams trick, but they only had it in black and brown. I went onto the Warehouse website today and they have a massive sale and so the coveted grey jacket was reduced from £58 to £35 
Although it has made me nervous that the black and brown weren't, so I've obviously just bought an unpopular jacket!
