Shellac chipping after three days - should I complain?

I had a Shellac manicure on Saturday. It is now Tuesday and already it is chipping at the ends of several nails. I wasn't 100% happy when it was done TBH as you could see brush strokes and imperfections in the finish, but I thought it might just have been the light in the salon.

When I have had Shellac before (same salon) it has lasted a fortnight plus.

Should I ring and complain?

Ring and arrange to go back to have done again. I'm sure they'd be fine with it. Hope you get it sorted, they are supposed to last a few weeks, depending on how much washing up/cleaning/manual stuff you do.

Yup. It may be something to do with their equipment (this happened to me on my last Gelish polish, and when I called they thanked me - similar had happened to the owner, so they think they need a new bulb in the curing thingy - technical term). They got me in and corrected the problem with no quibbles.

I have rung and left a message (they must all be doing treatments at the moment so can't get to the phone).

I'd be quite happy if they'd take it off and re-do it for free.

Salon rang back and they are re-doing them on Thursday. Very apologetic.
