Hair cut advice!

I have short hair and have had short hair since my late teens. It has however got progressively longer as I've got older so now I have some length around my ears, quite a long (nose length) sweeping fringe, quite choppy at the back. It's currently long enough that I need to straighten it most days for it to look ok. When it's slightly shorter than it is now, I occasionally wear the front in a sort of quiff (lots of product!).

I'm having my hair cut tonight and I really like Miley Cyrus's hair. Here's a pic:

So my question is, am I too old? I'm 34.

I've had very short hair before - for most of my twenties, my hair was considerably shorter than hers is in this pic so I'm not nervous about my hair being really short. I suppose psychologically I've just been a bit more cautious as I've got older.

I want a cut that's interesting and a bit edgy. I'm not very 'girly' and short hair has always suited my sort of self-image. Above all, I want a cut which takes 10 mins rather than the current 25mins in the morning!

Am I being daft to even worry about my age?!

you are being daft to even worry about your age?! as long as you don't dress like an old fashioned granny it will be great. I think the days of age determining hair is long gone if you have the confidence you can wear it any how these days.

If it would suit your face/head shape and it would work with your hair type and your general 'look' then I'd go for it. I'd not even think about your age. Sounds like it is very you and something you'd feel confident with.

I did it and love it! Don't know what was wrong with me. Just having an insecure moment I guess.

I have resisted the urge to have blue streaks in my hair however (I have very fond memories of having blue hair in the mid 90s). The time for that has definitely passed. Grin

Thanks for giving me the confidence!

Yay. So glad you did it and are happy with the result. Enjoy your new look. Agree with the blue streak. I think it prob looks much cooler without.
