Help, out shopping now but nothing fitting as in between sizes!

Hi there
I'm back to work in two weeks and am out shopping now for a few work clothes. Trouble is I haven't lost all my baby weight and I can't find anything to fit properly. I can squeeze into the size 12 dresses but they are too tight to be comfortable around my hips and tummy. The 14's are good on the middle but too big and gaping on the top and shoulders. 14 trousers too big but 12's a bit tight. Everything is tight on my tummy and I just look awful and slightly pregnant!!

What should I do? I was really hoping to get this sorted today. Thanks

Jersey wrap dresses might just be your friend? I'm a similar size to you by the sounds of it, and they work really well when you're between sizes. There were a few in Matalan that I found yesterday for another thread, might be what you're after.
Good luck with going back to work too! Smile

Oh, and also if you're feeling conscious of a wobbly tummy, I've found that the support vests from Primark are fantastic. Nice and long so they don't ride up, and not so constructive that they're uncomfortable. They just smooth out and hold still IYSWIM Grin

Budget? The White Company jersey dresses are usually good for workwear. I'm a 12 but only need a size small there.

And M&S sizing seems to be huge at the mo, so a 12 or indeed even a 10 should fit you there. I bought size 10 skinny jeans there yesterday and I am far from a 10, I'm sure!

Or and Topshop sometimes do stretchy pencil skirts, which might be good if you don't have to be super-corporate at work.

Separates will deffo be easier than dresses, and skirts are often easier to find to fit than trousers ime.

Thank you. My budget is small I'm afraid but I will try m&s and the primark vests.

Dorothy Perkins jeggings ( Eden ) come up
Big . Try a 12 in them ?

I'm a similar size to you and find it very difficult to get dresses to fit. I usually go for something stretchy in a 12 or fitted in a 14. Some shops are notoriously big like M&S or Phase Eight so could prob get a 12 there. others very small like Topshop so would try a 14.
