Pale BB cream?

I bought the L'orial BB cream after seeing posters here sing their praises (even though I get unreasonably annoyed that I can't find out what BB stands for, does anybody have any idea?). I got the fair one, thinking I probably didn't need to match it too carefully because it would probably be rubbed in or like a primer. Hadn't read properly, had I, it is more like a foundation (tinted moisturiser I suppose) and it is too dark for me (I am verypale) and leaves an attractive orange tideline! Can anybody recommend a paler one or something better for me, please?

I have the Dr Jart one from Boots and it's ghostly pale. It's kind of got that white tinge that you get from mineral sunblocks. Works well on me.

The loreal pale one is AWFUL in my opinion! I looked like vicky pollard! I think the garnier light one is the best I've tried, really natural.

The best way to apply it is to rub between your fingers and use a patting motion.
It also works really well with a damp beauty blender type sponge.

That's so weird....I rarely post in here but was just coming to post exactly the same question.

I bought the Nivea one the other day, and love the coverage and feel of it (I hate wearing foundation in the summer so thought I'd try some out) but their palest one is a bit too dark for me.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I use the Dr Jart+ one. I use the premium for oldies stuff and put a tiny bit over moisturiser. It's a bit darker than the other two for the younger and fresher of skin but it works a treat on my pale celtic complexion.

Guys a BB cream is a korean foundation concept, it's supposed to be an all in one foundation anti aging, moisturizing and a skin bleacher (well over their anyway). You're being scammed, none of the english BB creams are anything like the koreans ones, the koreans ones are amazing but sadly it's hard to get a colour match on the internet. en.koreadepart.com/cosmetics/bb-cream.0006030/ here's some examples

If you've ever seen pictures of korean celebrities their skin is immaculate, think of the women in PSY's videos.

This weekend I bought the Gosh BB cream in 01 Sand. I always find the 'light' ones too dark, especially Garnier and Dr Jart Waterfuse, but the Gosh one is very pale.

I alternate between Garnier and L'Oreal (the white tube with purple lid). I see L'oreal brought out a different one here - the Revitalift in the red tub. The Garnier lightest one is fine and i am really pale. The L'oreal one is white when you apply it and i think it just blends to your colouring as it also fits perfectly with my colour. They do seem different on though - the L'oreal seems to give a more matt finish than the garnier, but i like them both so it depends on my mood.

I see that nearly every make has brought out a bb cream now, so if i were buying for the first time i would be totally confused on which to buy. (only garnier had theres out here at first when i bought my first one).

I also didnt know you shouldnt wear moisturizer underneath as i do...

Clinique is extremely pale. Too pale for me and I'm usually ok

forgetmenots · 27/05/2013 16:14

What roxyfox said ^

Though I do like them - basically a tinted moisturiser with benefits and a decent SPF :)

xTillyx · 27/05/2013 16:55

I only wear it during the day as the spf makes me looks like a zombie in photos, but I've started using the boots botanics one. I'm very pale, and have a cool skin tone so I have to be careful about looking orange but this one seems to work. Its SPF30 aswel so good for the summer

Lancome Hydra Zen is excellent. No extra coverage needed. I have been told several times how well I look when wearing it! No 1 is their palest shade for porcelain skintone.
