Strapless bra for bigger boobs

I'm looking for a strapless bra but I am a 38f! Can anyone recommend one? The ones I have tried just don't do anything there's no support at all. I'm due on hols soon and want to wear my pretty sun dresses without bra straps showing.

My favourite is the wonder bra strapless but you might need to go up a back size and so down a cup to compensate. Also the Freya strapless deco is good, the panache porcelain is a bit less 'structured' so more comfortable, the bravissimo own brand one is good as it has boning in it, and the panache Evie, although that spreads your boobs out. You can get all but the wonderbra one in bravissimo and wonderbra you can get on asos.com. Hth!

However for the best strapless support a basque would be best xx

Would rather not wear a basque as I'm going to be hot enough. Thanks for bra ideas. Grin

That's ok! I'm a g cup and wear the panache porcelain on holiday because it being less structured is comfier against against sore skin if I burn a little or sweat! Although less supportive than the others. But the absolute best support it the wonderbra IMHO it has plastic hands inside the cups to hold your boobs!

Defo the wonderbra ultimate strapless, its amazing!

Can I ask what your actual measurements are. Im not sure if you've seen the bra threads on here but they highlight the fact that many women are wearing a band which is too big for them to give proper support with a strapped bra let alone a strapless.

These days you should use your actual underbreast measurement to determine your band size and then for the overbreast measurement a difference of 1" is an A cup. 2" is a B cup etc.

I second the wonderbra ultimate strapless. I'm a 34G & love mine.

I also have a couple that I got from Bravissimo - Panache Eve or Evie I think they are - they are good too. It depends on what shape you want really.

When I was fitted at Bravissimo for the Panache ones the assistant recommended going down a back size & up a cup size for strapless as 90% of the support comes from the band rather than the straps. It's definitely worked for me as I don't feel like I'm going to lose my bra so don't keep hoiking it up!

Good point. I will go and measure. It sounds like I need a trip to bravissimo.

36g. Maybe that's why the ones I tried weren't great- they were too big.

I recommend Freya Deco. Its a great bra. It's true about there being a new way of measuring, but not all manufacturers conform to that so everyone is just at sea with sizes. I just go by eye now, but I'm 30 underbust and 38 over, so that would make me some kind of huge, unpurchasable size.

CelticPromise · 01/03/2013 11:47

Pseudo that would make you a 30FF which is readily available if you know where to look! Check out the bra threads for recommendations.

Definitely try the Wonderbra - I have to go up a back in it too, most people do. It's head and shoulders above the other strapless offerings out there.

Presudo, most manufacturers do actually conform to the "new" sizing (which isn't really very new at all) - but retailers refuse to update their methods. If they made em big enough, I would fit the same size in M&S as I do in Freya. Try a 30FF

sherbetpips · 01/03/2013 12:27

Debenhams do the best ones - I had a fitting at Bravissimo (am a 36DD) and they couldnt get the right fit from Freya, etc. so recommended I go there.

Another vote for the wondet bra d-h one im 38e and got that size and its great couldn't cope with a smaller back size to be honest!
