I live in lip glosses mainly nude or pink, but wouldn't mind experimenting with red.
Any suggesstions?

Lanolips ointment with colour in apples looks like a nice red shade, I have the rose shade but want to try the red as it looks good. Here.

My mum has a fabulous one from Mac. She wanted a true red and it was really hard to find, after traipsing around a large beauty hall we ended up in Mac and they had a really good selection.

Thanks char I will check mac out, I'm looking for more of a hint of red, rather than a deep red, not really that brave yet.

Lanolips is quite sticky, yes. Also still on the look out for a good lip stain, balm or gloss with a hint of red so watching with interest!

Thanks slug I was looking at some of the mac lip glosses, but some of the reviews were saying they are quite sticky.

Rimmel Apocolips do a lovely red-not sticky at all.

The revlon just bitten kissable lip stains are excellent and have a lovely red tone. Most other drugstore make up lines do similar now.

Second Big Bang from apocolips but its more like a liquid lipstick. Total dupe of ysl version.

Another option is this which is more of a lipstain than a true lipstick

Clinique chubby sticks are pretty good, although they're more of a balm than a gloss so depends how shiny you want it. They have a nice sheer but vibrant red, it think it's called tomato.
