Tinted Moisturiser recommendations

Hi Smile

My skin is very dry and I'm looking for a tinted moisturiser that is heavy on moisturising. I have tried Laura Mercier, Body Shop BB cream, Estée Lauder Day Plus but they all require me to put moisturiser on underneath. I want something that I can quickly put on without worrying about it looking flaky on my skin.

Thanks!

Not sure about not moisturising before, I always do but I also have dry skin and use Liz Earle tinted moisturiser. Very strange consistency, a bit claggy but looks lovely on. I look very healthy with it, so I don't mind about the feel of it and am used to it now. No idea if that is any help!!

wickedfairy · 28/02/2013 11:10

It had never occurred to me not to moisturise before, even though it says its moisturiser!! Duh

I use Nars. I always moisturise first and then mix half and half with Illuminator, so my skin really glows.

ButteryJam · 28/02/2013 11:40

Thanks ladies Smile

Jolie, which illuminator do you use?

La Roche-Posay 'Anthelios' tinted moisturiser SPF50 is my new HG skincare product. I love it more than pancakes, chocolate and wine combined.

I have mega dry skin and have just started using the Clinique BB Cream, I really like it, it gives me enough moisture and makes my skin lovely and blowy.

I use NARS Illuminator in orgasm. I am light, but not fair skinned.
The NARS tinted moisturiser I use is Alaska.

I'm a fan of Clarins TM but am currently using a Nivea one which was a couple of quid and gives a good glow (find it quite rich and creamy, more so than the Clarins).
Worth a try for a couple of pounds IMHO

I'm finding the "Too Faced" BB one pretty great after buying a few weeks ago.

When I'm a bit skint I find the Garnier one ok too.

ButteryJam · 28/02/2013 14:13

Jump thanks, do you use that without a moisturiser?

TacoLeBell do you use it without a moisturiser?

LakeFlyPie, what's the Nivea one called?

I like Laura Mercier but would never think of wearing it without ordinary moisturiser underneath.
It really doesn't take long to apply the two at all specially as I don't put the TM all over my face, just where it's needed.

GinAndSlimlinePlease · 28/02/2013 18:33

I'm another Laura mercier fan, with moisturiser underneath. It really didn't take more than 10 seconds to apply the basic moisturiser.

JumpHerWho · 28/02/2013 21:27

I use a serum beneath. Was Olay Regenerist one, now giving the Superdrug one a go. I can apply it and put the tm straight over the top. Easy peasy day face.

polyhymnia · 28/02/2013 21:53

Have to say, I do always use a serum under my ordinary moisturiser in the morning but, as said, they each only take seconds to massage in. Some days I just leave it at that, others days or when going out in evening I use the TM on top just where needed. All very quick.

Bunbaker · 28/02/2013 21:55

I love the Bodyshop Vitamin E tinted moisturiser. You just put it on after washing your face. It gives me a healthy glow without making me look too "made up".

It gets rave reviews as well.

Windowbasket · 28/02/2013 22:06

Liz Earle for me.

NotQuitePerfect · 01/03/2013 07:45

Just bought this for the second time - excuse clumsy link I'm new to this :-

www.esteelauder.co.uk/product/688/13160/Product-Catalog/Skincare/By-Category/Moisturisers/DayWear/Sheer-Tint-Release-Advanced-Multi-Protection-Anti-Oxidant-Moisturizer-SPF-15/index.tmpl#BVRRWidgetID

Tried LM but could never see what all the fuss was about - the SA gave me the wrong colour match the first time & when I took it back to be exchanged I still didn't think it was anything special but had to use it up as it was so £££!

LakeFlyPie · 01/03/2013 11:41

Think it's called 'Beautiful Skin' Buttery

TacoLeBell · 01/03/2013 15:56

Buttery Sometimes I use a little moisturiser under it, but only out of habit. It doesn't actually need it though.
