Primark virgin

Going to venture into a primark for the first time ever (ok I've been in glanced around and walked out a few times before, as didn't know where to start).

Anything worth seeking out in there at the moment?

How old are you and what size(don't answer, don't mean to be rude) My slim 17 yr old loves primark super skinny jeans. Actually she gets lots in there.Vest tops jumpers undies pyjamas jumpers scarves etc. I do the washing and ironing though and can confirm it all washes well. I don't think I have ever had anything from primark that says you can tumbledry.
I am 47, and 18/20 so it is a no no for me. hth

Im a 16/18 and the long floaty tops are ok, I've not tried to wedge myself in their jeans yet though, working up the courage to.
I like their pjs,dressing gowns and underwear. I got a pair of wedge studded black trainers from their that are brilliant and have worn well.

Guess I might find something.

I was beginning to think there wasn't much point in going there tomorrowWink given the lack of response!

I just always find it to jumbled up, like H&M, so was hoping for a bit of a steer.

Can always find a dress in there, leggings are too see through though, jeggings are really good vest tops, pyjamas, underwear... Sometimes shoes! Not that I like it or anything Wink

Jeans are a bit hit and miss imo, tops/blouses need to be checked along all the seams if they are sheer fabric as people aren't always careful with them and they often end up with pulled apart seams. I've generally found dresses to be the most true to size of all the clothes they sell. Try everything on before you buy it, you might find you need to up/down size from your usual size in some of the stuff.

It's boring, but tights. Specifically their Cosy microfibre tights - your legs will never be cold again and will love you forever. £3.50 and they are superb.

The fleece lined tights and leggings are great for the cold weather.

Good tip to go early.

All my (much younger) family and lots of friends (even the normally high end only ones) seem to make a beeline for primark first.

Figured I must be missing something. Will give it a go and see what happens.

Oh and their work wear secetion is worth a look. I got a really nice waistcoat there a couple of weeks ago that looks great with a variety of things, both smart and casual.

Vests, t-shirts, tights, pj's...
I found a few nice sweatshirts and a pretty cream sleeveless ruffle blouse the other day. It does take some sorting through, but you can find some gems.

I love Primark, their jammies are great and I love all their tops, the casual ones are really comfy. I've bought some lovely dresses from there too and go there for all my socks and pants. If you're trying on jeans or other trousers take a couple of different sizes in with you as I sometimes find they can be a bit iffy with sizing.

In my opinion, everything I had from Primark, goes in the bin after 2-3 40 degrees washes, so, I always tell myself that ' I am not rich to buy cheap'

Scarves,pjs,swimsuits (not.amazing but you throw.them - £3.99 for one so worth it),dresses,tops.

Super soft skinny = higher waisted not on the hips skinny jeans. Pocket t's = almost American apparel t's. £5 polyester trs for work and fan shoes. 28 day refund policy although can't even exchange after that. Go early to. Eat queues avoid at weekends. Fab accessories. Live in tights. £3 ankle leggings.

Try on your size and either side of it. If not in shop then at home. Wash at 30 don't tumble dry then you won't have to throw after 2 wears. I have stuff from 7 years ago.

I find some Primark items wash really well. I have a cardigan that I bought about six years ago and it still looks great. The tees wash well too...and the vests. I will admit the pjs can sometimes look ratty after washing, but I've got expensive pairs that are the same. My sons spongebob pjs still look great after a year and weekly washes.
I suppose it's hit and miss.

I have bought quite a few bits and pieces for the kids from there. My ds has some t-shirts from Primark and some from Gap, and the quality is identical, though not the price tag. My dd always has a few things on the go and has had no problem with them. Just as long as you are not going to get all ethical of course.

I just don't like the mess! It's way too messy! I like to feel relaxed when I shop. It's just absolute manic!!

Well I went v early (good tip! No mess!).

I think it is just me. My body must be odd, everything hung (and clungHmm) badly.

I agree it's v cheap but just doesn 't work on me. My Dsis always looks great and it's her fav shop.

I did however buy some tights. 2 pairs for £3.50, which was a bargain. However I spent £4 on parking, so not such a bargain!

Will try again next year, no doubt.

Tights, scarfs, frocks, basic long sleeve tshirts (nice and long), im 18/20 and jeggings good but ride down annoyingly sometimes but straight leg jeans are bloody super..... agree with others re going early if you go afternoon its a jumble. ...
Oooo necklaces great to start with but do turn necks green so not sure worth it even if they are so cheap theyre nearly free!!!!
