Or do I work my way up to 0.1%.

How long do I use 0.025%? A month? Six months?

I am a bit confused.

If your skin is tolerating the lowest strength ok then it might be worth going up to 0.05% and see how you get on.

0.1% is mighty strong and scares the bejesus out of me so I'd personally swerve that one myself.

pestkontrol · 25/02/2013 20:13

Oh, fortuitous! I've been hoping someone would bring this one back up as I want to try it. Fluffy or Sofa, could you please tell me where you get yours from?

SofaCanary · 25/02/2013 20:19

www.alldaychemist.com/manufacturer.php?id_manufacturer=570

Some people have reported credit card fraud issues after ordering from them but I've always been fine

Amazon sell the Obagi version for many, many more pennies.

SofaCanary · 25/02/2013 20:22

Bloody hell!

Buggery bollocks!

Just checked on Amazon and they don't sell Obagi anymore, bastards...they have this one instead:

www.amazon.co.uk/STIEFEL-Stieva-A-Cream-0-05%25-Tretinoin/dp/B00AR7ANWQ/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1361824147&sr=1-2-catcorr

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2013 21:13

My seller on amazon doesn't have it either, I emailed them to ask if they would be having it again and they emailed back "you welcome".

So what's 0.1% for then? Severe acne? Grin

I have been using the 0.1% strength for over a month now. When I first started it, I got the horrid side effects like extremely dry flaking skin, redness, sensitive to touch skin. The only side effect I get now is very dry skin, but I just slap on loads of moisturiser. I think my skin is looking good, but my dopey husband hasn't noticed anything.

Walnutcakelover · 25/02/2013 21:18

Oh and I use that stieva make from Amazon that sofa has put a link for above.

SofaCanary · 25/02/2013 21:24

Typical bloomin' husband, Walnut

I don't think there's any real benefit from using the 0.1% for anti aging purposes and if you're finding your skin very dry it might be worth switching back down to 0.05% - you don't want to do more harm than good, IYKWIM.

Walnutcakelover · 25/02/2013 21:27

Yes I agree, TBH i am going to give up on it before the summer, because i think it makes your skin alot more sensitive, i don't really want my skin getting messed up.
And yes Husband did get a kick up the arse for that.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2013 21:30

I thought it took six months to work? I'm only on my third application, I do it very other night.

SPF, SPF, SPF, SPF....................................

Walnutcakelover · 25/02/2013 21:33

I am not sure how long it's supposed to take to work, I thought it was 3 months, i think i will buy the 0.25%, i don't really suffer wrinkles, more uneven skin tone and dullness.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2013 21:34

Hawaiian tropic SPF 30 for sensitive applied daily.

Walnutcakelover · 25/02/2013 21:36

I use heliocare gel spf 50
