So im needing recommendations for where to buy jeans please. I have big thick thighs but my bum and tummy are smaller. The jeans i try on either dont go over my thighs or do but are too big on the waist big gaping space at the back, slide down and only stay up due to my big thighs Sad

New look, tons of stretch, good colour and lots of styles :-)

OrchidFlakes · 24/02/2013 22:08

... Also a good price so you could afford to get them tailored on the waist for the perfect fit?

julz09 · 24/02/2013 22:15

thanks Orchid i will have a look at new look Smile I currently am stuck in Tescos bootcut which have some stretch in them. They fit fine on the thigh but i have a huge gap at the back and am having to constantly pull them up. I was not sure if the stretch in them was making things better or worse? Hmm

I have a similar problem- I found NL jeans stretched everywhere and they do fall down a lot...

Queenmarigold · 24/02/2013 22:21

Gap voluptuous bootcut, I have the same problem as you! Not sure if its just trousers these days tho as jeans are all skinny but I wear gap jeans and trousers all the time and they last for ages

piratecat · 24/02/2013 22:22

have to say my new look £9.99 ones are great, i have the same problem as you op. mine are bootcut but not overly so. I do have to wear a belt, but like Orchidflakes said it might be good if you could find someone with dressmaking skills to pop a slight gather in the back. In fact I might look in to this!

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 24/02/2013 22:38

I have same problem and am going to try Levi's bold curve jeans, can't link as on their official website they charge you £4.50 processing for returns (WTF) so will have to go to an actual shop (the horror!) to try on.

Yotamsrazor · 25/02/2013 02:11

I find Esprit jeans/jeggings work well regarding the chunky thigh issue. I look a complete bugger in Levi's curve ones.

oooh thanks for all the tips Smile Im due to go shopping in the city in the next couple of weeks so will have a look at New Look and Gap. Im not sure of anywhere that sells Levis, maybe John Lewis? Will try and track them down too. It feels good to know im not the only one, i always feel very envious of seeing women swoon around in their nice fitting jeans, i dont even know what body shape im described as? Is big thighs pear?? Hmm

Agree New Look are good, and Levi's Curve ID ones. Diesel more expensive but good for curves, and Topshop is worth a go, lots of different styles well-priced.

Size down for jeans as the majority will stretch with wear and they'll always look better tight around your bum.

julz09 · 25/02/2013 10:26

Thanks Jumper unfortunatly cant size down though as i would get them over the knees then they would just stop. Sad Will have a look for brands recommended though Smile
