LadyFrannie · 24/02/2013 18:29

i have a big event on Saturday where the dreaded ex will be with new partner and despite making many style and beauty related new years resolutions, all have fallen by the wayside.

I need help with how to look and feel the beat I can in such a short space of time.

Currently feeling frumpy, fat and tired. Want to feel fabulous, confident and glossy.

Can anyone help with tips?

Have you heard of the harcombe diet? It's low carb and I lost a pound each day of the 5 day phase 1. Was bloody hard though!

gracelesslady · 24/02/2013 20:54

You'll have to imagine all of us as an invisible crowd cheering you on. Sounds mad, but it works for me whenever I have to face my ex. I imagine the folks who are totally on my team standing behind me. Anything to help the fabulousness to come out! Xx

Shoeaholics, sorry, auto correct!

FrantasticO · 24/02/2013 20:58

Good luck

Tidy Eyebrows always improve my overall look!

Stick to soft drinks if you can on the night.

Do not engage in conversation about him, it's all about YOU now.

Good luck good luck good luck

Teeth whitening kit so you can dazzle him with a pearly white smileGrin

Ladyfrannie, how's it going?

LadyFrannie · 25/02/2013 18:20

Thanks for the encouragement and the tips, have really spurred me on. Today just had sushi for lunch and a banana for breakfast, not carb free but nutritious! Will aim to be carbless from tomorrow!

Also bought the famous flash balm, is it an everyday thing?

Thanks again for all the nice things you've all said xx

I haven't used the flash balm for years but if memory serves its supposed to be an instant radiance thing, it won't accumulate iyswim but there's nothing wrong with looking radiant all the time Grin It doesn't have long term improvement qualities. The much aforementioned water and moisturiser does though!

Glad you're feeling good!

gracelesslady · 25/02/2013 18:27

Ps I might be totally wrong about this in which case ignore me!!

Have you ever tried Soap and Glory's Scrub Your Nose In It? Really good scrub and gets my skin looking glowing after using it for a couple of days.

Highlighter on your cheeks - vastly under-rated make-up item, I look 1 million times better with it on.

Get a good up-do, something simple but glamourous.

Can you find a fit young man to accompany you? One with a nice bum?

I imagine myself with a camera on me all the time if I'm feeling nervous. "Here comes Mech, looking fabulous! Wow, look at her beautiful dress! She looks stunning!" Mad.

Or, you know, just trip him up into a puddle as you go in and turn up looking normal. Why go through the pain for five days when you can just ruin his night instead?

gracelesslady · 26/02/2013 20:06

Have you tried your flash balm? Coped with no carbs? Hope you've had a lovely day xxx

ComeAlongPond · 26/02/2013 20:48

Hope it's going well!

gracelesslady · 28/02/2013 19:48

You ok ladyfrannie? Hope you're radiating awesomeness Grin

(And if you're not, get back on here so we can sort you out!) xx
