I've never tried it, but in the market for a decent foundation for my pale Scottish skin.

Just thought I'd put this out there for any other pasty ladies.

Just bought a red lipstick on recommendation from mn- £3.50!!

OneLittleLady · 24/02/2013 17:10

I've got loads of the stuff. The discount make up shop in my town has had it in. I've stocked up on everything I know I will use. It's been fantastic to find something that actually looks right on my super pale skin. I'm so chuffed with it, I'll even buy it at full price when my newly collected stash runs out.

cocolepew · 24/02/2013 17:21

How pale is the lightest does anyone know?

OneLittleLady · 24/02/2013 17:38

REALLY pale. Looked not far off white to me. Then again, I have appalling eyesight so you might want to wait for someone with better eyesight to give an opinion Grin

MechanicalTheatre · 24/02/2013 19:21

I got foundation, eyeliner and lipstick. Will report back.

Is it any good? I've read very mixed reviews. I wonder why it's so cheap, is it being shut down? It never seems to have been very successful.

I'm in the market for a new foundation, is DD any good?

MechanicalTheatre · 24/02/2013 20:09

Will let you know how I get on accessorizequeen. My skin is an unholy mixture of oily AND flaky, so if it can deal with that, it's got to be a winner.

So accessorize, I got the foundation today and yes it IS good. Quite difficult to put on though, it's in a sort of tube with a brush and it was hard to see how much was coming out. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.

Definitely pretty good, it has decent coverage but hasn't left me with dry flaky bits which is what usually happens.

How were the rest of the bits? I was thinking of ordering some blushers but I'm umming and ahhing over it.

Arisbottle · 01/03/2013 23:08

I am a calico in Boots tend to be the palest shade with Chanel and Dior. Is anyone a similar shade?

MechanicalTheatre · 01/03/2013 23:30

Binks, the lipstick is pretty good, very similar to Mac. A little bit drying, but it stays on and is a nice shade. Not got the eyeliner yet.

The blushers are really nice, nowhere near as bright on as they look in the compact. Do use sparingly though, I reckon it'd be very easy to overload and end up up with bright streaks across your face. I do think less is more with them.

BinksToEnlightenment · 02/03/2013 09:44

I'm the second lightest shade in Bobbi Brown foundation. Other brands don't go light enough.

I think I'll give the blusher a go. It is mega cheap on Amazon.

What I really want is a bronzer, which they didn't have. I never them in very light brown, except for right at the top of a palette so I end up trying to squish up a brush to get the tiny strip in the right colour.

BinksToEnlightenment · 02/03/2013 09:44

Oh, thanks for the help!
