Down coat

I've recently started commuting down to London again and have found myself freezing on the walk to my office.

I'm really struggling to find a down coat that I'd actually wear. My budget doesn't quite stretch to Moncler but this is the look after rather than anything too outdoorsy...

Any ideas?

Have a look at Land's End. They have down coats, quite possibly in Clearance at this time of year.

I bought one of these North Face arctic parkas after reading millions of threads on here about them :o

Esprit have some nice ones

I had 2 Uniqlo down coats this winter. They were quite inexpensive, so I could afford different coats for different "jobs", which really helps.

mine is a barbour, peninsula down i think it's called, in olive. not cheap but it's SO warm and not at all bulky. I adore it.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/02/2013 11:46

I have a Zara one , it's lush. Best buy of the winter.

Twinklestarstwinklestars · 23/02/2013 11:49

Mines not a down cost but my didriksons Veronica is so warm and perfect for standing out in the cold, Nordic outdoor have them reduced to £104 from £149.

iwantavuvezela · 25/02/2013 18:15

I bought a Penfield, not cheap but toasty warm?

Another vote for lands end here. My down jacket can be machine washed. Try the clearance section. Sizewise I buy xl and am a uk 18/20. hth
