I have a mammoth spot emerging on my chin. No head and there might not be one, it's just a deep, sore lump.

What can I do (if anything) to take the swelling/inflamation down to stop it rising volcano like from my chin?

Sound like what I get, mine are hormonal related (get one when I come on), ice helps the pain. I use a mix of Clinique and demagogica zit creams. But tbh they're horrible and last for ages.

They are apparently common in late 30s/early 40s and are due to hormonal imbalance.

I'm trying a mix of a few vitamins at the mo...

sudocrem

Toothpaste / sudocream or leave soap on to dry

Selks · 20/02/2013 22:33

Yes I think mine is hormone related.

I have sudocrem but how would that help it? Can't see how it would, but will try it anyway.

Have tried toothpaste before with no result.

Will look up the demagogica cream.

Thanks for all suggestions so far.

Sudocrem has zinc in it, I thinks that's the bit that helps
tea tree oil too

www.dermalogica.co.uk/uk/html/products/concealing-spot-treatment-52.html?type=skin_concern&cat=acne+and+breakouts it's the concealing spot cream, it's rubbish as a concealer but a good zit cream.

Selks · 20/02/2013 23:23

Ah yes, the zinc in sudocrem.

I also have some quinoderm but will try the sudocrem first. Thanks.

Sudocream always works for me - best stuff ever for getting rid of spots IMO

Rub soap onto it - drys it out.
