Teeth Whitening - where/how/cost

I want to get my teeth whitened. Do I just pay full whack at the dentist or are the home kits any good?

Don't use a home kit, if you can you should use the peroxide free laser. That's what I use and it's great but I have it done professionally, it's much safer and lasts long too. Where are you, I could recommend the person I use?
