Telle about Tangle Teaser brushes etc..

Would they help me keep my hair tat free easily?
What model would you reccomend assuming there are differwnt models?

I can't live long without mine, DD has long hair and it knots really easily, this is a breeze and sorting them out.
I have a plain black one but I think you can get different colours. Get one, you'll wonder how you managed before!

I got one for my DS has curly hair, they are amazing. His hair get really knotty and there's no way I can get a regular brush through it, a few swipes with the tangle teezer and it's knot free. I also use it on my own hair now. I have 2 of the regular ones, bought one in blue but kept misplacing it so bought a second in neon orange.

i found that it orked on dd's fine but lots of it wavy hai but its terrible for dd2's curly hair and just makes it frizzy.

Sounds like it will be just the ticket. Can you get them at boots and superdrug?

As daisydoodoo said, they are really good at getting the tangles out without tears, but dd has really curly hair and it does tend to make it frizz.

I have very long, thick, wavy hair and love it for detangling, but have to section my hair, as otherwise the teeth don't go all the way through. I tend to use it after washing and maybe once or twice a week other than than and stick to a wide toothed comb the rest of the time.

Ds1 has ASD, long hair and sensory issues regarding having his head touched. Hair brushing has always been an huge issue for him, but he actually likes the tangle teaser, so they've been priceless for me for that reason alone.

We have a sparkly purple one and one of the little flower pot ones for dd to keep all her hair slides and bobbles etc in.

I have a short spiky crop so don't even own a comb!

DD (14) has long, flowy locks and swears by her tangle teaser. It makes her hair look lovely and glossy too.

I used to have long, flowy curls too ..........ho hum .....

I don't think they work very well on thick curly hair. I have to do DD2's in layers and it takes forever. The bristles just go through the top layer of hair.

Same here with my hair MrsSchadenfreude, but I find by going through the layers thoroughly a couple of times a week it tends not to tangle like it used to, which is still preferable to my old paddle brush.

Bought a tangle teaser for DD but she still found it pulled and it didn't seem to get knots out that easily. Tried a Denman bristle brush which gets all knots out without tears so am now using that one. The tangle teaser is really hard to hold as it has no handle so it kept springing out of my hand all the time or sticking in DD hair

I also highly recommend. But get a gaudy bright one, like the orange or pink. We have lost many purple sparkle/black ones in the abyss of a dark cupboard/corner/shelf, never to be found again. So now I only buy bright gaudy ones.

Love ours, dd has got curly hair, find that if I spray it with detangler first it doesn't go frizzy!

Is there any special combing technique that i should be aware of when using it?
