Has anyone had this permanent straightening treatment done?
I'm quite keen on it but its expensive so would like to hear anyone else's experience of it...

I just looked this up. It sounds great. I love my Brazilians (keratin....I'm too much of a wimp to have my pubes ripped out) and find it very frustrating that it needs re-doing everey 2-3 months and takes bloody ages.

The fact that this tratement is permanent makes it sound very attractive.

Hope someone comes along who's tried it - I'd very much like to know more.

Brazillian straightening doesn't work on my hair. I chemically straighten it myself after wasting far too much money in salons

Is it only me who finds the second reply funny?Grin

Rosamund the salon I've spoken to about doing it says it should take about 2 hrs which I didn't think was too bad...I've spent longer in a salon having my hair coloured before!
There doesn't seem to be that many places doing it so I've had to really look around (the closet one I've found is about 40 mins from me) & it will cost about £200. If I go for it I will come back & update.

I've had it done twice now and pay about 50 pounds at a local salon.I went for the 'straighter' version as there apparently is a more 'relaxed' straightening available. Its the first time in my life i have had shiny hair and can dry without blow drying [and it stays straight].

If you don't mind me asking teta, what area do you live in? £50 seems really cheap compared to what I've been quoted but I am in Kent so I don't know if thats a factor?
Is it the permanent one you've had? I've been told that it produces a straighter effect?
