Anyone read it? I loved The September Issue documentary so bought her autobiog.

It's BRIGHT ORANGE and weighs 1.1kg so not sure my British reserve and limp wrists can handle reading it on the tube Sad Physically, it's pitched between readable and coffee-table and says its £30 but I paid £21.25 on amazon.

A review (Guardian?) said its not very revealing if the people she's worked with, as someone still in post can't give out all the essential gossip, and that Diana Vreeland's autobiog is what one wants for that as she'd retired and didn't care Grin

Anyone read? Either?

No, but both are on my amazon wish list for my birthday in March. I flicked through the Grace one in Waterstones and from what I read it looked good, not gosspy but full of real insight from her POV.

Please can I have them for my birthday?

Not read it yet. I might see if the library has it in stock.

I heart Grace.

I got it for Christmas and read it very quickly. It is heavy, because the pages are thick and there are lots of brilliant pics, but the text is quite large so I read it in a couple of delicious sittings. I think the gossip is there, you just have to read between the lines. What struck me is how many times she has been married/had long relationships - but she is 70 so she's had plenty of time. And what a very very different world it all is to that of 'normal' humans.

I got it for xmas too haven't read yet Blush. I really admire her though as she has always been a bit in anna wintours shadow and she is very gracious about this when asked Also she is a redhead and we need to stick together Grin
