Hair dye expiry

I have some Boots hair dye - semi-permanent - washes out eventually. It's several years old but unopened. I can't find a use by date and the instructions don't mention throwing it away after a certain period. Do I use it?

I'd think it would probably be alright - normally you have two parts to mix and that creates the colour?

Not sure - if you do use it, definitely do the skin test first.

Phone them, there is usually a customer care line number somewhere on the box.
