How would you wear this for a wedding?

Due to various family bugs and sickness, I am running short of time to sort an outfit for a wedding next week! I like this one

www.next.co.uk/x5176s4#145016x51

It isn't jersey, despite how it looks there. And what doesn't show on the pis is that there is a gold outline around the blue pattern. It is quite a forgiving fit.

How would it be with gold shoes? I am worried the dress may be a bit work like!

How would you wear it?

thanks!

Hmmm, not sure - I think it's a bit officey too (and I'm going to presume that the colours just don't photograph well).

How about this:
more formal looking, quite nice?

could be interesting

potentially very flattering

I may be suffering from dress-blindness by now but maybe...?

I gave up when I saw Amy Childs's face, but I felt I should link to this purely for the entertainment value...

Hahaha, love the amy child one! Afraid I need a dress with arms, my arms are horrendous and I am not comfortable having them out at the moment! What about this? More appropriate?

There is something I like about this, but probably not wedding enough is it? Gold shoes again?

Could change the belt and co-ordinate shoes with it?

I am not at my fighting weight at moment, so really don't want to spend too much on a dress IYKWIM!

The isme one would be great for a wedding - and yes, I think gold shoes and jewellery would work :). Gold rather than blue clutch bag, I think. Hope you have a great time!

LetMeAtTheWine · 15/02/2013 15:31

I think the Isme one too - for what it's worth!

I think the isme one wouldn't be very flattering, not much structure. The coast one is great. Monochrome v of the moment.

tethersend · 18/02/2013 10:03

I hate the isme one, it looks cheap. Ditto the coast one.

Oliver Bonas one not weddingy enough.

The next one in your OP is perfect, IMO. Gold shoes and accessories and a clutch bag, with perhaps a little veiled hat would look fab.

janmoomoo · 18/02/2013 10:24

I like the next one in the OP. Good for a wedding this time of year. Gold shoes and clutch, flesh coloured tights. Nice. Looks comfortable too.

sue52 · 18/02/2013 10:25

I like the coast one. The next dress looks a bit shapeless.

bacon · 18/02/2013 17:12

not like - suits the model, skinny and flat tummy - this is the sort of thing that looks horrendous on me.

I have this dress in red (last season) covers tops of arms and very flattering. Phase eight have any dresses that are great to give shape.

The Coast dress is great in RL. You can wear with either black or nude accessories very easily and the little orange belt gives it a bit of flair.

INeedThatForkOff · 18/02/2013 19:41

bacon, I've been considering the Post dress for a wedding. Does the crossover have enough stretch to allow for BFing?

CockBollocks · 18/02/2013 21:58

Probably too late but this could look really nice with a really nice belt & high heels.

could be nice
