Anyone know anything about semi-permanent eyelashes?

I sometimes have the individual ones which I love but they never last long. The salon I go to have suggested I try semi-permanent which apparently last four to six weeks and you just pop in every now and then to have them (topped up?) maintained.

Does anyone have these? Are they damaging / any good?

Grin Thanks Travelin they do sound like a lot of upkeep. They haven't made her eyes fall out or anything? As at as you know?

I have them, and have to say I love them. My eyes look wide awake, even when I am not, and a lick of lipstick and I look presentable. Yes, they are a bit addictive, in that I would never want to go back to not having them!

Chose a really good technician as they really vary. I manage about every five weeks for in fills on mine, but that is on the long side I believe.

I have had them and they looked fantastic (if slightly OTT, even with just the half set I had), but I hated the feeling of the glue on my lashes when I touched them, found them a bit irritating as I was quite aware of them IYKWIM (not that they actually irritated my eyes). So I wouldn't do it again but I have pretty good eyelashes anyway tbh..

...what I do love having is a lash lift (like a perm) and tint, for me that is fantastic, lasts longer than extensions, as booface with extensions, makes me look more awake and just made up enough. With a lash lift I only wear mascara on really made up occasions (without I would always wear mascara to leave the house).

Also, as booface says, make sure you get a good technician, for extensions or lash lift.

Have just tried lash extender mentioned by Sali Hughes in her beauty column in Guardian. Maybe not as good as semi perm lashes but cheaper and you don't run risk of losing own lashes. You just layer it between 2 coats of cheapo mascara and can build up lashes as much as you want. I bought Divaderm, think it was about £11 on amazon, gets pretty good reviews if I recall. Hope that helps
