Has anyone tried it?
I am not a serum person, but had a couple of samples and thought mmm.

Does anyone use the Estee Lauder one? That seems to get rave reviews.

Sorry I haven't tried the new Clarins one yet as I'm working my way through the two free Clarins GWP serums, the old style blue glass bottle ones I rec'd a fortnight ago - no wonder they were giving them away if they were just about to launch a new product! However for comparo purposes I've got the EL one, the Dior one, the old Clarins one (blue glass bottle) plus an Obagi Vit C one.

The EL one is the least effective of the lot for sure, the Dior doesn't do a hell of a lot either. The Clarins blue bottle one is really nice for night (if shaken violently first before applying) but I wouldn't try to apply makeup over it, so it's no good for daytime. Conversely, the Obagi C is fab for day. If you're not sure, have a read of the Sali Hughes Guardian articles about serums, she does rate the EL one but mentions quite a few in different price ranges starting from £7. A lot of people who love the EL one haven't tried anything else. I think the EL would be OK in summer or in a humid climate but it doesn't do enough in the tinder dry air from central heating. Do try a £10 or £20 serum before you drop £50+ on the EL one! When the current Clarins one runs out I'm tempted to try the Eucerin one as it's half the price of the EL one and those plain wrap french brands tend to be fantastic for efficacy vs cost. Note that Sali and many others use a different serum in the morning compared to night.
