What colours should I be wearing?

I have ginger ish hair. It's not very orange but more auburn (sp). I also have ridiculously pale skin. I usually wear black but look very washed out. Yellow, orange and red do not seem to work (I look like a ball of fire) and I'm stuck in a style rut.

I need to dress casually but not look scruffy. I have 2 DCs (2&3) and one due in September. Day off work today so hitting charity shops to see if there are any gems hiding there. I usually wear skinnies, tshirt and converse.

While you're waiting for the colour experts to show up I'll give you my un-expert opinion!!! ...Sounds like green or teal would look gorgeous with your colouring, good luck!

Thank you. I like green and it generally seems to look ok on me. Apart from the huge mistake I made of dark green eyeshadow on blue-grey eyes!

Check out the palette for true Spring. There are lots of pinterest boards for seasonal colour analysis and palettes etc. Elea Blake is a good one for reffrom memory.

I have ginger hair and very pale skin as well. I found I look best in monochrome. I find these colours also make it relatively easy to have a look that looks together iyswim. I have the odd splash of colour in between such as green or purple or very pale pink...

I have similar colouring (perhaps a bit blonder) and tend to stick to blues/teals/greens.
Have a look in Pinterest, loads of ideas on there. You can use the search option to narrow it down!
I've seen an article about eyeshadow and the best colours for blue/grey eyes are golds/beige etc Sad. I look like a reject from the 70s in any other colours. Again, there will be tons of ideas on Pinterest uf you do a search.

Maybe some of the autumn colours may suit you as well such as khaki, warm browns etc. Teal, greens and turquoise sound like a good bet.

also that lovely pinkey orange which is around may suit you?

I am a spring palette and have found it very helpful over the years. I am pale skinned but do not have red hair.
