Lipstick that stays on

So I am fed up with lipstick that has worn off before I even get to work in the mornings... I don't want to be reapplying all day. Im ready to pay more! Can any beautistas out there direct me to brands of lipsticks that have staying power. Tia

Mac lipsticks are excellent.

Tom Ford lipsticks are amazingly pigminted and stay forever! But they are £££££

This works brilliantly for me: Maybelline Lip Stain but some of the reviews are very poor, some excellent. Then again, I seem to have the kind of lips that keep lipstick on. I have to almost rub this off with oil based remover at the end of the day.

Another Maybelline one, called something like Super Stay 24 Hour Colour, works very well for me. Often find myself scrubbing it off before I go to bed having only applied it once in the morning.

Clinique also good, if pricey.

The Topshop ones are good, last ages. Also the Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte. You need a lipstick that feels a little dry. Anything glossy/moisturising will come off quickly.

Max Factor lipfinity always works for me. I find the pearlescent shades stay better than the matte though.

Bodyshop used to do a 'lip tint' which was like a felt tip pen! Not sure if they still did it. Failing that, maybe try a Sharpie?

Another vote for Lipfinity. Feels a bit drying at first but the colour stays and you can top up the gloss.

Yes to the Maybelline stuff.

I bought one of these in bright red a few weeks ago at Paddington station - I looked like a complete prat in it and cou;dn't get rid of it until I got home and rubbed it with oil based remover. So had to look at myself in the windows of the train looking like Unity Mitford for 2 hours.

Moominsarehippos · 11/02/2013 16:45

Ah-ha! They do still make it. I wouldn't try it on my cheeks though (unless going for the Auny Sally look).

Or actually, maybe I will start with Mac... I HATE buying makeup - I'm RUBBISH at it!!
