This is a waterfall card isn't it?

East

The thing is, it suits me, and I think it looks nice. I'm 38, tall and slim and would wear it with skinny jeans and boots, scarf or chunky necklace.

But I've kept the receipt and I may return it or give it to my mum.

What's the MN verdict?

FWIW I really like it... waterfall cardi to me tends to be like the ones my mum wears from M & S which are much longer at the back than the front. Keep it, it's nice - what colour did you get?

BabyRoger · 08/02/2013 16:07

I like it.

naturelover · 08/02/2013 16:09

I bought grey. To replace an old Phase Eight cardi that has seen better days. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

It's also a huge bargain for merino.

Have considered it myself.
Have had 2 East cardigans this winter, both reduced and lovely quality,go for it!

valiumredhead · 08/02/2013 16:56

I really like it.

dexter73 · 08/02/2013 17:04

It's very nice and a bargain!

Drywhiteplease · 08/02/2013 17:13

I love it and fantastic price for 100% wool. I buy from wherever, if I like the garment I like the garment regardless of which shop it's from.......I'm sure it will look amazing worn with the right things.

Annianni · 08/02/2013 17:29

I like it, keep it.

pocketandsweet · 08/02/2013 17:31

You are tall and slim.... You will look gorgeous. I think it's lovely anyway but it's only on shorter and curvy people like me that I think they can look frumpy.

quirkychick · 08/02/2013 17:38

That's lovely, gorgeous colour and a complete steal for wool too. I would also wear it like you say, am also tall & slim.

FellatioNels0n · 08/02/2013 17:41

Sort of, yes. But that's necessarily a bad thing. Remember lots of people on MN are about 12 and have tattoos and live in skinny jeans and Uggs so their opinions should not necessarily be heeded. Grin

It is nice, useful and a bit boring.

FellatioNels0n · 08/02/2013 17:41

I meant that's NOT necessarily a bad thing

IAmLouisWalsh · 08/02/2013 17:45

What are their sizes like? I am an 18 - 20 - will I get away with an XL or does XL mean size 14?

MrsMushroom · 08/02/2013 17:45

Lovely....it's more structured than a "real" waterfall cardi....which tend to floop and flap at the front far more.

Mumelie · 08/02/2013 19:09

Nice, was eyeing it myself today! I'd wear it with a skinny belt too over a dress.

naturelover · 09/02/2013 10:34

IamLouisWalsh re sizing, I'm a 10-12 with broadish shoulders and the Medium fits well.

I think it's frumpy ..sorry

I have no tattoos ...honestlyGrin

Mrsrobertduvall · 09/02/2013 10:46

I quite like..I am six feet tall so it may look ok

East is a funny shop. We have a big one here, and it's full of crinkly blouses and lots of jewellery.
Who is it aimed at? I see lots of 60 somethings in there.

drownangels · 09/02/2013 10:46

It's an old person cardigan trying to be trendy (and failing)

Startail · 09/02/2013 10:53

It looks amazingly useful, sadly I'm too short.
