Anyone got any tips to help me with my makeover?

So I'm trying to get back to feeling more like 'myself' again after DD's birth and having a bit of an overhaul- could do with some help!

My hair is bra strap length, naturally curly and I have it chemically straightened. Don't heat style anymore. Really want a good hair mask or treatment for it, I'm using an old tub of elasticizer but it might be really really old and not working?!

Also I don't colour my hair but feel its a bit boring. Has anyone had a clear gloss treatment? Was wondering if this would brighten it a bit.

I wear ysl touché eclait foundation which is ok but I'd love something dewy.

My skin is combination/dehydrated and I love Clarins blue orchid oil. Considering decleor balm for night? Any better ones out there? Or cheaper ones?!

Thanks.

Ooh and I'm going to get some caster oil to try the oil cleansing method. Any tips on ratios of oils? Could I use blue orchid instead of extra virgin?

hi aiming whats the oil cleansing method?

JemimaPuddle · 08/02/2013 07:13

Hi aiming, I use the decleor neroli night balm ( balm essential it used to be called) 2 nights a week, it's fab I wake up with my skin looking more even and it helps with any blackheads.
They do a few other balms which you can use every night but neroli you can only use twice a week or for 1 full week a month.

Chubby- its using oils to cleanse with. The idea is that the oils are more effective at removing dirt and make up whilst nourishing your skin and not stripping it. Google it. There's loads of info but I'm not sure what ratio to use!
Jemima, why can you only use neroli so sparingly? I want a balm I can use every night. I've been looking and there's one called balmbalm but i don't know anyone who's tried it.

I'm not sure, the sales assistant said it was too stimulating to use every night. To be honest it does its job just using the 2 nights a week but it does mean you'd need another night cream for the other nights.
The sales assistant recommended their rose night balm for the other nights but I haven't tried it so can't say if its any good.

Christ alive, I can't afford two of their balms!! Hmm, may have to try and get a sample from somewhere.

Exactly! If you do buy, have a look around first. You can get a Decleor loads cheaper from eBay or websites like Cheap Smells; QVC do some good value kits & you can send them back if you don't like it.
