Need a new liquid eyeliner

I have a cheapo one - with a fat brushy felt-tip style applicator, which I find really easy to apply.

Thing is, it doesn't stay put... it's all over the place within an hour. So I need one which will stay where I put it ? all day!

So far, so straightforward.

Tricky thing is, I'd like a brown-black. Being fair, black looks too stark for every day use...

Can't find one anywhere... any tips?

Depends on your budget, however I ditched getting the cheaper liquid eyeliners for the same reason and reluctantly cough up for Urban Decay or Stila. Stays on lovely, though the Stila is slightly better as it's waterproof but can be a bugger to take off. I find that with a good eyeliner I don't need uber expensive mascara.

I like Mac gel liner in Dipdown - very dark brown. I find it much easier to wield a brush than a liner pen.

Thanks ladies ? there's a space NK up the road, and I think they stock Stila, so I shall give that a whirl! Thank you... db
