I think I need to start all over again. a lot of my make up is years old! I have no idea what products to buy any more. I have a lot that I don't use as well, eg I'm always attracted to coloured eye shadows and lipsticks but am then to shy to wear them. I mostly stick to tinited mosturizer, eyeliner, mascara, bronzer. I have fairly normal skin if a little dry at times. I'm a bit spotty at the moment due to being pregnant.

I look on You Tube for ideas - search for "what's in my make up bag" or "daily make up routine". I'm a new mum so don't wear much. Day to day I wear No 7 BB Cream, concealer, cream blush, liquid liner and mascara. Have fun experimenting!

There's a fab site called Xtras Accessories (google is your friend!) which has lots of discounted high street make up. Definitely worth a look for trying new things.

Consider buying a nice set of make-up brushes too (ebay is good for this; Eco Tools for budget, Real Techniques or Sigma if you want to spend more).

Sleek is a brand stocked in Superdrug which does amazing quality eyeshadow palettes for just above a fiver. I rate them second only to Urban Decay. Maybe go for some metallics in browns/nudes/silvers etc if you're feeling a bit shy about lots of colour?

Emily Noel on YouTube does make-up tutorials which are great for beginners; she uses a lot of product and you don't have to do the same, but she explains everything so well that she's easy to learn from.
