Help! Workwear crisis!

I'm stuck in a workwear rut. I have a desk based job, but have to go outside to muddy fields at times (so stilletos not appropriate!). I currently wear black trousers/ skirts and blouses. I've had a look online and am getting the impression that blouses are now out? Can anyone help?

dresses/tunics and boots?
and i'd move away from black on the bottom all the time and get some more colour into your wardrobe.

i like great plains, dickens and jones, linea, and hobbs for workwear, but can only ever afford stuff from the sale.

do you have pinterest? it's good for inspiration too.

Never quite got to grips with Pinterest. Does anyone have any ideas for relatively cheap tunics?

have you tried shopstyle? quite good because it shows a load of different shops which is good, you can just search tunic and I'm sure they'll have loads!

I don't really know what a tunic is.

I have a similar job, and I think you might have to work upwards from your footwear (i.e. suitable for fields) and then pick clothes that can work with that. I'm not sure about dresses - I wear them a lot because I find them low hassle but actually they look a bit stupid in a windy field.

I have a tunic a bit like this that gets a lot of wear with trousers and inappropriately clumpy boots.

Lots of shirts in the shops as an alternative to blouses, OP.

I found lots of great work trousers/tops in the John Lewis sale - shame I don't have a job lol!
