Bikini waxing after EMCS

Hello,
There seems to be lots of waxing/ hair removal threads today so thought I'd ask this!

If you had a section, or have any other lower abdominal scar, do you still get your bikini line waxed?

My DC is 13 months now and I've been doing DIY hair removal since as I still feel squeamish about waxing over my scar. I don't have any pain from my scar, it's well healed etc .

So my question is... Is it all in my head and I just need to get over it?
Or do you get to a point where it feels ok to get waxed?
Any experiences to share?

Thanks!

I was wondering too. I asked a friend once, and she said 'oh, I don't need waxing where the scar is' then I felt like a proper hairy Mary!

Lol thanks for replying ellangirl, maybe we are hairy Mary's together!
I guess I could just not get the top line done, but then it'll still look messy and I expect to look tidy if I'm paying good money!

I just get waxed over/around it. Can't say I like it, but its no more or less uncomfortable (physically or psychologically!) than the rest of a bikini wax.

I think my scar hurts a little less than the rest when it is waxed (it's a bit numb). I started waxing that bit again maybe 6 months after each cs.

Mine is v low, so I wax down to it, but tend not to wax over it. Don't know why, as it isn't remotely painful (the DS that emerged from it is almost 2), but have always been squeamish about it.

I have it all off (well ... Will soon again, still recovering from dc2 birth!). DS was an emcs, and I let it heal for a good six months before attempting to go get waxed. The first time, psychologically, was tough. After that, a doddle.
